Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin's NASCAR team, 23XI Racing, has officially opened its new headquarters.•114,000-square-feet• Cafeteria, gym, and sauna• Windows angled at 23 degrees• MJ's elephant print throughoutAnother cool detail is that Denny Hamlin used 45 Air Jordan shoes, all of which came from his personal collection, to form a No. 23 wall display in the meeting room.Even better, they are calling the building "Airspeed."P.S. This is a brilliant way to crossover and bring new audiences to two extremely different brands. I'm curious to see if it will work. Will Jordan fans start to watch NASCAR? Probably. But is it double sided? Will NASCAR fans start buying Jordans? Only time and consumer research will tell... I'm here for it!

I watched a documentary series on racing and the different personalities. Part of it showed the beginning stages of this being built. As well as highlighted the relationship between Hamlin and Jordan. It was pretty interesting! For anyone interested it is called "Full Speed" and you can read more on it here: https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/nascar-full-speed-release-date-cast-trailer-news#:~:text=NASCAR%3A%20Full%20Speed%20premieres%20on,30.&text=Fueled%20by%20passion%20and%20NASCAR,history%20in%20this%20sports%20docuseries.

Saudi Arabia’s sports strategy is simple. They host events they can’t buy (Formula 1 and WWE) while using their $925 billion balance sheet to directly compete with sports that have flawed business models (golf, boxing, tennis). Thanks for having me, Brian Sullivan!#sports #sportsbiz #linkedinsports

AC Milan recently launched its "Club 1899 Front Row Experience."The idea is modeled after what you would see at a Los Angeles Lakers or New York Knicks game, with AC Milan’s pitchside seats filled with VIP guests.Perks Include:• Parking next to the players•Personal concierge greeting•Michelin-star quality food & beverage• Pitch access during warmupsThese seats will provide AC Milan with even more firepower to add to its Serie-A-leading 2 million ticketed fans last year — and it’s just the latest example of AC Milan’s new ownership group transforming the business.AC Milan was recently named the fastest-growing club in Europe for the third consecutive year. The Italian club’s matchday revenues have doubled year-over-year, too. Their operating revenue increased by 84% over the last five seasons, and AC Milan has even seen its enterprise value grow 35% from 2023.AC Milan’s 2024 Financial ProfileStandings: 2nd in Serie ARevenue: $405 million (highest in club history)Operating Income: $81 millionClub Valuation: $1.425 billion (14th in the world)These results are directly correlated to AC Milan's new ownership group — RedBird Capital, NY Yankees, LeBron James, Drake, etc. — reinvesting in the fan experience, ultimately creating new (and diversified) revenue streams. This trend of turning premium sports assets into platform companies has been taking place in the United States over the last decade. However, AC Milan is leading the way in Europe/Italy, and many other football clubs will eventually follow in their footsteps.P.S. The Premier Lacrosse League always delivers a good time 🔥Building a new professional sports league is never easy, but it's been so fun to see this sport blow up over the last few years (and I love that the world's best players now have a viable, full-time option after their NCAA careers end).Highly recommend checking out a game!#sports #sportsbiz #linkedinsports
